1. Unix Support Consultant Mumbai Location

Roles & Responsibilities:

The role requires the candidate to Batch Support for ASIA, EMEA, and NA regions and resolving downstream feed Issues. The role is a client facing one that requires managing user expectations.

Incident Resolution:

- Acts as the first point of support for application incidents

- Receives and logs calls from clients using appropriate processes, procedures and technology

- Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves functional and technical problems and business critical incidents through research and analysis of trends, root causes, and business impact

- Highlights functionality issues to Business Analyst and the plan team

- Assists in the translation of solutions into technical requirements

- Develops and utilizes appropriate tools to perform work

Client Relationship Management:

- Clearly understands client’s business he or she is responsible for and recommends, provides, and supports application service that best fit client’s current and future needs

General

- Willingness to work early and late shifts in 18*5 rota coverage

- Occasional work on weekends outside of normal coverage hours to support critical business.

Required Skills:

-2-7 yrs experience in a production application support role in UNIX environment

- Development and/or application debugging experience in any Language preferably Oops (Smalltalk , Java , C++)

- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

- Preferably from Application Development background

- Ability to work and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment that includes a global focus.
