RECRUITMENT OF SPECIALIST OFFICERS IN THE VARIOUS SCALES -2014
Syndicate Bank a leading Public Sector Bank, invites applications from Indian Citizens
for appointment of Specialist Officers in various Scales. The details are given below:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: NATIONALITY/ CITIZENSHIP:
A candidate must be either i) a Citizen of India or ii) a subject of Nepal or iii) subject of

Bhutan or iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st
 January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or v) a person of Indian origin who has
migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda,
the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi,
Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a
person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government
of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be
admitted to the interview to be conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of
appointment will be given only after the Government of India has issued the necessary
eligibility certificate to him/her.

Chief Manager(Law)
Age: Min.21 years and Max. 40 years
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate/Graduate in Law- Qualification as a Company Secretary would be an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum 8 years - must have worked in commerial banks, Finanial Institute in Law/Recoveries Departments and handled related work for a minimum 4 years, practics as an advocate will be an added advantage.

Chief Manager (IT)
Age: Min. 21 years and Max. 40 years
Qualification:
BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunications/COmputer Secience/Information Technology or MCA or MSc. in Computer Science
Experience:
- Minimum 8 (eight) years experience of which 4 (four) years experience in Scale II /III or equivalent cadre in the related field in a Scheduled Commercial Bank / Financial Institution or Public / Private Sector Enterprise.
b) Candidates should have experience of handling any one or more of the following:
i. Data center Management.
ii. SOC Management.
iii. Core Banking Application Management.
iv. Banking Delivery Channel Management.
v. Server / Database / Network /Security Management.
vi. IT Procurement.

c) In addition to this, the Bank prefers candidates having:
i. Industry reputed certifications
in the respective area.
ii. Project Management Skills
iii. Team Building skills
iv. Vendor Management skills
v. Knowledge about working of financial organizations including Banks and knowledge of banking software as a developer or implementer.
vi. Knowledge of policies and procedures of Public Sector Banks.
vii. Experience in implementing / maintaining CBS is an added advantage.
viii. Experience in technical evaluation of hardware /software.
ix. Good communication skills – written and spoken.
x. Experience in liaisoning with vendors

Senior Manager (IT) III
Age: Min. 21 years and Max. 35 years
Qualification: BE/B.Tech/ M.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunications/ Computer Science/Information Technology or MCA or MSc. in Computer Science/Electronics
Experience: a) Minimum 5 (five) experience in the related field in a Scheduled Commercial Bank /Financial Institution / Public Sector Enterprise / MNC with minimum Turn over of 1000/- crores.
b) Candidates should have minimum 3 (three) years experience of handling any one or more of the following:
I. Server Administration of Unix and Windows based servers.
ii. Database Administration of Oracle, SQL server and other databases.
Candidates who have handled large databases like Core Banking databases will be given due weightage.
iii. Network Administration of large network.
iv. Security Administration.
v. Software Development in latest platforms like JAVA,.NET
c) In addition to this, the Bank prefers candidates having:
i. Industry reputed certifications in the respective area.
ii. Knowledge about working of financial organizations including Banks and knowledge of banking software as a developer or implementer.
iii. Experience in implementing / maintaining CBS
iv. Experience in technical evaluation of hardware / software.

Senior Manager (Stat)
Age: Min 21 years and Max. 35 years
Qualification: Post graduation in Statistics/MAthematics/Economics with 55% and above. FRM/PRM will be added advantage.
Experience:
- 5 years work experience in any scheduled commercial bank as a statistician or Financial Analyst.
- 5 years as officer in scheduled commercial bank with minimum
- 2 years as scale II or equivalent.
Work experience in RMD will be added advantage.

Assistant Manager(Technical Civil)
Age: Min 21 years and Max. 28 years
Qualification: B-Tech /BE Degree in Civil with minimum 50% aggregate mark.Experience: 2 years experience in the relevant field preferred.Assistant Manager (Technical ELectrical)
Age: Min 21 years and Max. 28 years
Qualification: B-Tech /BE Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
Experience: 2 years experience in the relevant field preferred.
Note:
1. Degrees obtained from the colleges/ Universities Recognized by the /UGC/AICTE/
Govt. of India only will be considered.
2. In addition to the qualification and experience, the Candidates should have working
knowledge in Computers.5
a) Degree/PG degree Certificate issued by the University during the convocation shall be
produced.
b) Year-wise/Semester-wise marks sheets of each year/semester in respect of the
qualifying examination from the University concerned should be produced.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY:
Medical Fitness, Character and caste (wherever applicable) verification of
selected candidates: The appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their
being declared medically Fit by a Doctor or a panel of Doctors approved by the Bank
and upon satisfactory verification of their character, antecedents and caste certificates
(wherever applicable). Till such time, their appointment will be provisional.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:-
1. Candidates are required to apply only =online. Any other form of application shall
be rejected.
2. Candidates can apply only for one post. Multiple Applications will be summarily
rejected.
3. Before applying, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and
other norms mentioned in this advertisement. Decision of the Bank in all matters
regarding eligibility of the candidate, the stages at which such scrutiny of eligibility
is to be undertaken, the documents to be produced for the purpose of the conduct
of interview, selection and any other matter relating to recruitment will be final and
binding on the candidate. No correspondence or personal enquiries will be
entertained by the Bank in this behalf.
4. In case, it is detected at any stage of recruitment that a candidate does not fulfil
the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false
information/ certificate/documents or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her
candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcoming/s is/are detected
even after appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated.
5. All candidates will have to produce original as well as attested photocopies of
certificates regarding qualification, experience, date of birth and caste (if
applicable), in support of their eligibility at the time of interview, failing which their
candidature will be cancelled.
6. In case of candidates belonging to OBC category, the certificate inter-alia must
specify that the candidate does not belong to =CREAMY LAYER‘ section excluded
from the benefits of reservations for OBCs in Civil Post and Services under Govt.
of India. OBC certificate should not be more than one year old as on the date of
application.
7. The candidates will have to appear for the interview at their own expense.
However, unemployed eligible SC/ST outstation candidates attending the Interview
will be reimbursed to and fro second-class ordinary train/bus fare by the shortest
route on production of evidence of travel.
8. Only candidates willing to serve anywhere in India should apply.
9. Any resultant dispute arising out of this advertisement shall be subject to the sole
jurisdiction of the Courts situated at Udupi. The Bank takes no responsibility to
connect any Certificate/Remittance sent separately.
10. Candidates serving in Government/ Public Sector Undertaking (including Bank)
should produce a =No Objection Certificate‘ from their employer at the time of
